One of the passengers’ claim of defective luggage weights at Gaa Airport in Dapolim resulted in a hot controversy, as the indigo budget authorities and airport powers refuted any variations. The claim, made by Ratan Delon, a resident of Chandigar, has become a viral on social media, which raised new questions about transparency in luggage account accounts.

Dhillon, who took the Indigo 6e724 trip from Goa to Chandigarh on August 4, posted a detailed complaint on X (formerly Twitter), accusing the excessive airline in shipping due to the “treated” luggage measures. According to him, the same bag showed three different weights in three separate meters (18 kg, 16 kg, and 15 kg), yet he was told to pay excess luggage fees based on the highest number.

“Yesterday, while boarding the 6e724 aircraft from Jwa to Chandigar, two bags showed 18 kg on one belt, 16 kg over another, and 15 kg per third. When I wondered about the contradiction, the Nile employees simply answered,” Sir, the device should be 15 kg wrong, 18 is the right weight. “

He also claimed that his luggage was exactly 15 kg in his hotel before leaving to the airport. He was eventually charged 11,900 rupees, including 1500 umbrella rupees. He added: “This is no less than the stealing of daylight, and the passengers are emerging without realizing this. The Nile must be responsible for this fraud.”

His position has anger among other repeated brochures who participated in similar experiences of the inconsistent vessels weighing. The viral post included a picture of the weight meter and a screenshot of its ticket, which increased the general debate on the practices of airlines.

Indigo issued an official response, confirming that its equipment is being calibrated and searched regularly. “We tried to call Mr. Delon on his recorded number, but we were unable to reach it. All our luggage weight machines are approved by the Airport Authority and undergoing periodic checks,” the airline said in a statement.

Indigo also revealed that the total check luggage for Dhillon and its participation in the tract is 52 kg, which exceeds the permissible limit of 45 kg for three passengers, and the additional fees were according to the airline policy.

Goho International Airport has supported Endego, saying that all checkpoint machines are verified annually by the Legal Standards Department in the Gaa government.

While Indigo confirms that there is no error in the equipment, the Dhillon publication has re -discussed accountability and consumer rights in local air travel. Calls intensify more striking independent audits and installation of transparent weight -visual weight systems for travelers.
