Despite the lukewarm moment, it stands in a sharp contradiction with the dangerous tone of the summit, where the leaders of the Group of Seven issued a joint statement calling for the abolition of the escalation in the Middle East where the conflict between Israel and Iran escalates without any sign of stopping, and both sides continue to exchange missile strikes.
In a statement, the Group of Seven leaders said they are committed to “peace and stability” in the Middle East. “We confirm that Israel has the right to defend itself. We repeat our support for Israel’s security,” she said.
