Social media star Tanner Martin from Utah died at the age of 30 years after a five -year battle with the fourth colon cancer of the fourth stage. His wife, Shait, shared the news of his death through a previously recorded video on Instagram, which Martin prepared before his death.
The emotional video, published on Wednesday, showed Martin, addressing the camera directly from his death. He died just 41 days after the birth of his daughter, Amilo.
In the video, Martin looks weak but optimistic as he addresses viewers directly, “Hey, I, Tanner. If you are watching this, I am dead.”
After a little more than five minutes, in his last message, he was reflected in his life and expressed his love for his family and his followers.
“I had a set of life. I decided to make this video announce my death because I saw someone who did it, for example, a year or so ago, and I think it is a good opportunity to put all your thoughts,” I explained.
Martin added: “But comrades, life was great. I really enjoyed it while I was here. I hope there is something after this. I am excited to meet these people, and we hope that we can get stuck and enjoy all the obsessions.”
In the follow -up clip, Martin is seen carrying his newly born daughter as he asks viewers to support her future through the GOFUNDME campaign, saying jokingly, “For the price of Mcchicken, you can finance my Alylou box.”
Who was Tanner Martin?
Tanner Martin was a former worker in the call center that got senior online by publicly documenting the cancer journey. After diagnosing colon and rectal cancer in the fourth stage five years ago, Martin used social media to exchange rises and decreases in treatment, recovery, and eventually, to become a father.
In 2023, when his treatment seemed to be working, he and his family decided to start a family. They welcomed their daughter on May 15. Unfortunately, shortly after her birth, his health decreased quickly.
Despite the physical suffering, Martin’s sincerity and the spirit of humor and courage touched many people all over the world. Keep optimistic, funny and inspiring to the end.
After months of treatment, which sometimes looked promising, Martin and Right celebrated the birth of Amlelo on May 15. Their joy, however, was short. The cancer was repeated shortly after Martin’s health quickly decreased.
