A video of Zahran Mamdani sparked an angry discussion with the rice, as the Republican Senator praised him for being “not civilized” and asking him to “return to the third world”.
In the video, Mamdani – who recently defeated Andrew Como was seen in the race to become the mayor of New York – a traditional meal of rice and lentils with his hands, a common practice in India, while he was talking about the Palestinian conflict.
“When you grow up as a person, especially in the third world, you have a completely different understanding of the Palestinian struggle,” he heard in the video.
