The host late Jimmy Kimmel revealed that he obtained Italian citizenship this year, partly as an exit option amid increasing concerns about the administration of President Donald Trump. Speaking at Podcast Sarah Silverman, Kimmel said that the political situation in the United States was “bad as you thought it would be,” adding, “It is much worse; it’s incredible. I feel that it is likely to be worse than it wants to be.”

Kimmel’s move follows a trend between celebrities such as Rosie Odonil and Eline Degins, who left the country after Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the presidential elections last year. O’Donnell, a frequent Trump critic, told Variety recently that she had no plans to return to the United States any time soon, noting concerns about the safety of her child and the political climate.

Kimmel regularly targets Trump in his monologues late at night, causing Trump to publicly threaten Jimmy Kimmel Live. Trump claimed that the next offer will be the CBS, Stephen Kolbert, The Late Show. To respond to the air, Kimmel said: “I hear that you are the next. Or maybe it is just a great secret,” points to A. Wall Street Journal A report on a letter that was sent to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003.

On the podcast, Kimmil also addressed the reverse reaction faced by those who change their opinion on Trump. In response to criticism directed at personalities such as Joe Rogan for her interrogation of Trump’s policies, Kimmel said the door should remain open to voters who reconsider their positions.

Now you see these clips of Joe Rogan saying: “Why does he do this? Why do you deport people? People go, “Damn you! “I don’t buy it,” Kimmel said. “The door should remain open. If you want to change your opinion, this is very difficult. If you want to admit that you are wrong, this is very difficult and rare. [to do so]”

While Kimmel is still committed to hosting his width late at night on ABC, his Italian nationality gives him a possible way to go out, and join a number of celebrities who looked or made movements abroad because of their concerns about Trump’s presidency.
