1. Dry the flowers: Dry the puja flowers in the shade for two or three days. Like rose, marigold or basil leaves – they dry quickly.
2. Camphor mixture: Mix camphor in dried flowers and grind them. Camphor also increases the fragrance and helps burn incense sticks.
3. Adding ghee or honey: Add some ghee or pure honey to it. This will firm up the mixture and it will be easier to shape the incense stick.
4. Mixing dry cow bones: Nowadays, small balls that resemble bones are available in the market. Grind it and mix it with the flower powder. This will make the mixture stronger and will give smoke longer when it burns.
