A tiger jumped on a female traveler while she was on a safari on Thursday in Karnataka. The woman was injured after the big cat tried to attack her through the mesh window of the safari bus she was sitting in in Bannerghatta National Park.
Officials identified the woman as Fahita Bano and said she was in her 50s. They added that first aid was provided to her immediately, and then she was transferred to a private hospital to receive treatment.
They also said that the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon during a tiger safari.
The video clip of the incident went viral on social media. News18 was unable to verify the authenticity of the video. The video shows the cheetah boarding the safari bus and scratching the window in an attempt to attack the woman.

Officials confirmed that the safari buses in the park are equipped with metal wire mesh on their windows and openings to prevent animals from direct contact with visitors. They further added that the tiger’s claw reached through a small gap in the net.
The news agency quoted an official as saying, “The woman sustained a scratch injury and was given first aid. She was transferred to a private hospital for treatment and is said to be in good condition.” PTI.
