A six-year-old boy was attacked by a pit bull dog in Delhi’s Prem Nagar area, leaving the minor seriously injured.

The incident was captured on camera. The video shows the dog heading towards the boy. The child tries to run, but the dog chases him and bites him.

The dog grabs the boy by the ears and drags him to the ground. A woman rushes in, following the child and trying to drag the dog away. Moments later, a man also steps in to help.

The woman manages to restrain the dog while the man quickly picks up the injured boy and carries him to safety.

According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when the boy was playing outside his house. The police also filed a case and arrested Rajesh Pal, the owner of the dog.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that the boy was playing outside his house in the Vinai area when the pitbull suddenly came out of a neighbor’s house and attacked him. The dog belonged to Rajesh Pal (50), a tailor by profession,” he said.

He added that the child was seriously injured in the attack, and the dog bit his right ear.

“With the help of neighbours, the parents were able to rescue the boy and shift him to BSA Hospital in Rohini. The victim was later shifted to Safdarjung Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment,” the officer said.
