Richa Chadha witnessed the plight of the mother, whose son had to undergo surgery as his health deteriorated due to severe pollution levels in Delhi, and shared that her heart was broken. The woman stated on social media that her family moved to the national capital two years ago. She said that from the moment they moved, her son’s health began to deteriorate.
What started as a mild allergy slowly turned into constant breathing problems for the little boy. In the video she shared, her son was seen lying on a hospital bed while being treated for breathing problems. At one point, the boy was also seen crying in discomfort, and his mother was doing her best to calm him down by staying by his side.

She explained that her son’s health “continued to be affected by constant allergies to dust and pollution.” His health condition continued to deteriorate, and no treatment such as “steroid sprays, antibiotics and homeopathy” made any difference. As pollution levels rose again, his health deteriorated further.
The recent spike took her “adenoids and tonsils to stage four” and eventually pushed the situation to what she called “the scariest point.” Doctors told the family that surgery was the only option left for them to relieve him. “He had to undergo nose and throat surgery,” she said. “Seeing him on the hospital bed in severe pain after the surgery broke our hearts.”

It is adults who are ruining children’s lives. Children, the elderly, animals… We have failed them. Just as our system has failed us.” “They don’t have any solutions to pollution.”
