Latest update:
A major craze for New York style desserts was seen at the Gurugram outlet of Magnolia Bakery. As soon as it opened, there was such a large crowd here that long lines of people stayed there all day. Most exciting was the famous banana pudding, which people stood in line for several minutes to eat.

When a popular international sweets brand comes to India, foodies are not left behind. The long queues outside the newly opened Magnolia Bakery in Gurugram are proof of that. This bakery, known for its New York style desserts and famous banana pudding, has now officially arrived in Delhi-NCR, and the excitement can be seen right on the streets. Recently, in a video shared by @divianshu.discovers on Instagram, people were seen standing in a very long line outside the store. This line stretched from the front of the store to a long distance and it is clearly evident how much craze there is among people about the new taste in Gurugram.
In the video, the creator shows the crowd near Sector 42 and jokes that this is “Gurugram ka naya ajooba”. He also seems to wonder whether this crowd has gathered because of Instagram reels or whether Mongolia Bakery is actually as good as its name suggests. The caption accompanying this video “Gurgaon is not for beginners” perfectly captures the city’s excitement, food culture and passion for embracing new things.
In the comments section of the viral post, people’s reactions included ridicule, praise and skepticism. Many people praised the Magnolia dessert, while others criticized the huge crowd. Someone jokingly called him “Amiro ki rasmalai”. “Like Mumbai, it will be empty here too after a month,” one user wrote. A surprised person asked: Do people really stand in line for cake at 11pm? Many people called it overkill while some called it bad customer service. Meanwhile, Magnolia fans have consistently called the Banana Pudding and Tres Leches drink a “must try.”
The history of Mongolian bakeries is equally interesting. It began in 1996 on Bleecker Street in New York’s West Village. With the passage of time, this bakery became famous all over the world and its outlets gradually started opening in India as well. Before Gurugram, Mongolia Bakery established its presence in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Her favorite desserts include Tres Leches, Chocolate Cake, Banana Pudding, and Caramel Pecan Cheesecake which are loved by customers all over the world.
The opening of the first Mongolia Bakery outlet in Gurugram has become a big event in itself. The city’s food-loving residents have made it even more special with their enthusiasm. Now what remains to be seen is whether this rush and excitement will last for a long time or if it is just the initial excitement of the launch. But one thing is certain that Mongolia Bakery has definitely added a new experience of sweetness to the people of Gurugram.
