Roti Casserole Tips: Working in the kitchen is a repetitive task every day, and even a small mistake can spoil the food. Especially while preparing roti. It is a common problem in every household that when we prepare hot rotis and keep them in a casserole dish, instead of becoming moist, sticky and soft after some time, they become chewy due to the steam. Sometimes it gets so wet that it doesn’t cure even after reheating. This problem is especially increased when the roti remains in a closed ceramic dish in the kitchen for a short period. In fact, when the roti is heated, steam comes out of it, and the same steam accumulates inside the casserole and creates moisture. This moisture spoils the roti, but the good thing is that some easy kitchen tricks can solve your problem within minutes. These methods are so simple that you will be able to easily follow them every day. This will keep your rotis hot, soft and fresh for hours. If you too are annoyed with wet roti every day and want your roti to stay the same while serving food, then today we are sharing with you some amazing and very easy tricks. By following these tricks, you can keep the roti fluffy and soft for a long time, without it getting wet.

1. Put a cotton cloth on the bottom and a steel plate on the top
– This method is considered the easiest and most effective. When you place hot rotis in a casserole dish, first spread a clean cotton cloth under it. This fabric absorbs the light steam generated inside and does not allow moisture to accumulate in the pot.

– After placing the cloth, place the roti and place a small steel plate on top of it. Then close the casserole lid.
– The steel plate prevents steam from rising, and the roti remains soft for a long time, without becoming soggy.

2. Place the roti in the bowl only when it cools down a bit.
– Many people put ghee on the roti immediately and put it in a casserole dish, and this is the biggest mistake.
– When the roti is completely hot, maximum steam will come out of it.
-So, after baking the roti, apply ghee and leave it out for at least 1-2 minutes.
– The roti will cool down a little and release steam, and then it will not become soggy when kept in the bowl.
-This small step can save your loaf of bread from spoilage.

3. Never keep hot pancakes in aluminum foil, use parchment paper.
– Many people wrap the roti in aluminum foil before putting it in the casserole, but it is wrong to do so, because the aluminum foil does not allow steam to escape, which makes the roti moist immediately.
-Use parchment paper instead.
– The parchment paper controls the steam in the roti and does not allow moisture to reach the roti.
– This way the roti will not become too dry or too wet.
-This method is especially useful when you have to pack and take out rotis.

4. Do not close the pot lid completely immediately
– Very few people know this trick, but it plays a big role in keeping roti fresh.
-When putting hot roti in the bowl, do not close the lid completely immediately.
-By doing this, the steam is trapped and the roti becomes sticky after getting moisture.
-Alternatively, leave the lid slightly open so steam can escape.
– After about 3-4 minutes, when there is no steam left inside, close the lid completely.
– This method keeps the roti with the same texture it had when it came out of the hot pan for hours.

5. Use a thick casserole dish
-If the casserole is too thin, too much steam will accumulate in it and the temperature will not be maintained properly.
– A good, thick, high-quality casserole that keeps the roti warm and soft for a long time.
-If you stock up on roti every day, it will always help to have a better casserole.

6. Bake the roti until it puffs up a bit.
– When the roti is puffed and baked, there is less moisture in it and it does not get wet as quickly.
-So try to cook the roti properly.
– The light raw roti goes into the bowl and releases steam immediately, making it moist.
