According to information, the reception was for Medha Kshirsagar from Hubli and Sangam Das from Bhubaneswar. They are both software engineers in Bengaluru and their marriage took place on November 23 in Bhubaneswar. After the wedding, a reception was organized at the bride’s hometown Hubli on December 2 and 3, for which the family members made full preparations at the Gujarat Bhawan in Hubli.
The trip betrayed me
The couple had booked a flight from Bhubaneswar to reach Hubli via Bengaluru on December 2, while some relatives boarded a Bhubaneswar-Mumbai-Hubli flight. However, the 9am flight on December 2 was not only delayed, but was suddenly canceled the next day on December 3 at around 4-5am.
The plan changed at the last minute
After the flight was cancelled, Medha and Sangam were unable to reach Hubli on time. In such a situation, instead of canceling the reception, the family decided to hold it online. For this, a screen was installed at the event point and the newlyweds communicated with the guests through video conferencing. The bride’s parents took their place on the stage and welcomed the guests.
A couple of tech professionals were forced to attend their reception virtually after IndiGo canceled their flights between Bhubaneswar and Hubballi. The program somehow managed
The bride’s mother said that the marriage took place on November 23, and everything went well. We held a reception on December 2nd and 3rd and invited all the relatives. On December 3, around 4 a.m., we learned that the flight had been cancelled. We’ve waited a long time. It was hoped that they would arrive one way or another, but that did not happen. This was very sad for us. By then all the guests had arrived and we had to manage the program somehow.
