According to the police, this encounter took place near Dhanoti Rai village on the main Sohnag-Partha road within Salimpur district. During night patrolling, the police saw the suspicious Tata Magic vehicle coming and when a signal was given to stop, shooting started from inside. In retaliation, Bhulu Yadav, resident of Lakshmipur police station, Suruli, was shot in the right leg. Narayan Yadav’s son Raj Yadav, resident of Manihari Salimpur police station, and Nagendra Kumar Bin Kedar, resident of Deobari Barhag police station, were also arrested from the spot.
