Adult film star and OnlyFans creator Lily Phillips is in the spotlight again, but this time it’s not because of her work in the adult industry. The 24-year-old recently shared a video of herself getting baptized again.

The clip, posted on Instagram, showed Phillips submerged in water with a simple message above him: “A day to remember forever.”

OnlyFans creator Lily Phillips is being baptized once again

After the video received a lot of attention, Phillips explained that the decision had nothing to do with optics. In a statement to Newsweek, she said the baptism was intended to reconnect with God and strengthen a relationship that she felt had drifted away over time.

“I’m really looking forward to strengthening and growing my relationship with God and opening conversations about how multi-faceted girls on OnlyFans are. I hate being labeled as two-dimensional sex dolls, that can be really dehumanizing. … There may be Christians who disagree with my ‘lifestyle,’ but I just want to rebuild my relationship with God, and I believe we should welcome all conversations and opportunities for people to explore religion in a way that’s right for them,” she said.

In an interview with US Weekly, she said she was baptized as a child but shied away from actively practicing her faith. According to her, the “big thing” prompted her to “start talking to God again.”

“I hadn’t really practiced faith for a while. I just wanted to get baptized again to restore my relationship with God,” she added.

Not a “traditional” Christian.

Phillips has been clear that she does not consider herself a “traditional” Christian. She openly supports issues such as gay marriage and abortion rights. “So, I definitely don’t have traditional values. But that doesn’t mean to say I can’t be a Christian,” she added.

As for whether she plans to leave the adult film industry, Phillips has not made any announcements. But she said she wanted to “diversify” her investment portfolio.

A former porn star talks about the baptism of Lily Phillips

Joshua Broome, a former porn actor who later converted to Christianity, also shared his thoughts on Phillips’ baptism.

In a video on Instagram, Broome explained that he did not know Phillips personally and could not judge her intentions.

Drawing on his past, Broome talked about how he found faith while still carrying the weight of his old life, saying, “Before Jesus saved me, I was working in the porn industry.”

“He (God) did not define me because I had the right intentions or the right words,” Broome said, but rather, “He saved me by His Spirit drawing us to Him through the prayers of His people and through His Word. I was not trying to fix myself, and we often underestimate the power of intercessory prayer because God can do what we cannot, and His Spirit can accomplish what our words cannot.”

“Grace doesn’t work on a scoring system.”

Broome also addressed the harsh backlash Phillips faced online, saying, “Maybe, instead of throwing stones, let’s pray about it. Let’s pray for true repentance, true discipleship, and true life that bears fruit.”

“He’s in the business of reviving dead things because that’s what he does, and he’ll do the same for you and her as he did for me,” he added.

A past that still follows Lily Phillips

Phillips first made headlines in 2024 after she claimed she slept with more than 100 men in one day over her OnlyFans content. The experience was also documented in a YouTube movie entitled “I slept with 100 men in one day.”
