Pune News: A horrific incident has come to light from Pune, where the string of a kite became a deadly trap for an owl. The video, which was spread on social media, shows that the bird was hanging in the air, stuck between electrical wires and was unable to free itself completely. Then a local resident intervened and informed the authorities.
Amit Khairnan, a resident of Pune, was busy with his daily work when his eyes fell on an electric pole. He saw that the owl was tangled in the string of a kite. Its wings were partially extended and it was hovering near electrical wires. This situation was extremely dangerous, because even the slightest mistake could cost him his life. Amit recorded a video of this incident, which clearly shows the owl hanging from a thin thread.
The rescue operation began wisely
Realizing the seriousness of the situation, immediately contact the local fire department. Firefighters immediately arrived at the scene and assessed the dangerous location. Firefighters arrived at the scene and began rescue operations. The owl was stuck at a great height and the rescue operation was very risky because it was tangled in electrical wires.
At first the team faced problems due to the lack of a ladder. After several attempts, a firefighter lowered the cable line slightly with the help of a long wooden stick, so that he could reach the bird.
Safe release and appeal to the people
Once access was possible, he carefully cut the kite’s string with a knife and released the owl. Once free, the frightened owl began trying to fly. Firefighters safely detained him to prevent further injuries and sent him to a veterinarian for a precautionary examination.
Sharing this video, which has been viewed more than 13 lakh times so far, Amit thanked the rescue team for their quick response and sensitivity. “It feels great when I see people respecting every living being,” one Instagram user wrote. Another user said: “Thank you for taking care of the owl and providing it with the necessary assistance.”
Amit appealed to people to fly kites responsibly as many birds get injured or lose their lives due to sharp or discarded kite strings every year.
