Football star Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to extend his wishes for Eid al-Fitr as Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the month of Ramadan.

In a stunning photo shared with his global followers, Ronaldo was seen wearing a stylish navy blue and gold embroidered paisley-style jacket. The outfit featured a high mandarin collar, intricate gold detailing and ornate patterns that reflected a royal, festive aesthetic. Such traditional clothing is widely worn by Muslim men during Eid, especially in South and West Asia.

The post, which he shared with more than 672 million followers on Instagram and 106 million on X, had a simple but heartfelt message:

“Eid Mubarak everyone! I hope you have a very special day with your family and loved ones. I wish you all peace and happiness.”

His post received comments from his fans, who showered him with love and returned festival wishes.

Eid al-Fitr was celebrated on Friday in Saudi Arabia and several other countries after the sighting of the Shawwal crescent, bringing an end to the holy month of Ramadan for more than two billion Muslims globally.

Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nasr, has increasingly embraced local traditions since his move to the Middle East, and often acknowledges cultural and religious events in the region.

In fact, the Portuguese star had previously gone above and beyond during Ramadan last year. According to his former Al-Nasr teammate, Shaye Sharahili, Ronaldo tried to fast alongside the Muslim players. Speaking on the Eight Sports podcast, Al Sharahili said that Ronaldo fasted for two days “to experience what Muslims feel,” describing it as a personal effort to understand and communicate with the culture.

The gesture, along with his final Eid message, has strengthened Ronaldo’s outreach to fans across the Muslim world, many of whom praised his thoughtful attire and wishes.
