Indian Railways’ quick response to help a sick infant on board a moving train has won praise online. Bhavna, a dentist and mother, shared her experience on X, describing how railway staff quickly arranged medical help for her baby girl.

She said in a video clip that her child started vomiting after eating drum soup. Concerned, the parents approached TTE and asked if any medication or assistance could be arranged.

“I fed my baby drumstick soup…and after that, she started vomiting a lot. I panicked and asked the TTE how I could order medicines on the train…and I didn’t expect much,” the video transcript reads.

Not only did the railway staff arrange the medicine, but as soon as the train reached Hindpur station, a doctor was there to examine the child, who was provided with appropriate medicines after his examination.

The text of the video added: “They also provided us with a proper bill. I was truly shocked and very grateful at the speed with which they acted.”

“From panic to relief on a moving train. My baby needed help…and it came faster than I could have imagined,” she wrote in the caption.

Social media reaction

So far, the video has received more than 2.5 million views and more than 93,000 likes. Many other netizens also praised Indian Railways.

“When help is possible, Indian Railways makes sure it is available at the next station. This level of support deserves true respect. Shout out to Indian Railways,” a user said.

Another wrote: “Thank you for highlighting the positive side of our railways. Despite the huge crowds, emergencies like this are handled with empathy and compassion.”

A third said: “I am very happy that I watched this video which makes me feel stronger about my nation!! Videos like this do not spread quickly. Because this is not a taste for anger and does not serve people’s purpose of insulting their country!!”.

“For me, I also had stomach pain suddenly, but after three stations I got my medicines next to my bed, it was really helpful for me at that midnight time 1:50 am, thanks Indian Railways,” a fourth user wrote.
