But the truth is a little different and more scientific.

There have been many cases around the world where humans have become victims of Python attacks, but things like “pet snake kills owner by plan” are not true. For example, in The Death of Akbar Salubero, a 25-year-old Indonesian man is swallowed by a giant python as he goes to work in the fields. His body was later found in the python’s stomach, showing that the snake can also consider humans as prey. Likewise, cases such as the death of a woman at the hands of a pet snake in America in 2008, and the death of a man in Britain due to suffocation by a pet snake in 2017 have also come to light.

In fact, snakes are not able to think or plan like humans. The basis of his behavior is only his natural instincts and hunger. In some cases, it has been observed that large snakes attack their owner or humans close to him, but the reason behind this is not “planning” but rather a hunting instinct. If the snake senses that the creature in front of it could be its prey, it can attack.

Regarding “sleeping cuddled” and “starving yourself,” it is a myth, according to experts. Pythons are cold-blooded creatures, so they can get close to humans to gain body heat. Meanwhile, sometimes snakes can go without eating for a long time, and this is their natural biological ability, not part of any plan.

However, it is also true that large snakes are very powerful, and if not handled properly or safety rules are not followed, they can be dangerous. There have been some cases around the world where pet snakes have attacked their owners or tried to swallow them. Therefore, experts advise that raising such animals can be risky, which is why experience, caution, and the appropriate environment are very important.
