Sometimes such faces appear on the political scene and suddenly catch people’s attention. One such case came to light from the African country Nigeria, where a person became a social media star overnight. People started calling it the ‘Wonders of Zaria’, but the story that started as an inspiration turned into a major controversy within a few days.

How the movie ‘Wonders of Zaria’ went viral

This person was said to be Mahmoud Sadis Buba, a resident of the Jaria area. He said during a political interview that he is 30 years old and works as a driver and wants to serve the public. People were surprised by his short stature and childish face, but he attributed this to his illness (dwarfism). One of his statements, “People have called me to serve,” went viral on social media, and people began to see it as hope for a new change in politics.

Questions posed to age, the matter has been reversed

But after a few days the whole thing turned upside down. Some documents surfaced on social media, in which it was said that Bubba was born in 2010. If this is true, his age would only be around 15-16 years old. According to the rules, the minimum age required to run in parliamentary elections is 25 years. In such a case, the question arises: how did he get to the interview?

The teacher also revealed the evidence that was provided

The viral documents are said to include a passport, birth certificate and school records. Not only that, but a former teacher also came forward and claimed that he taught Bubba in the beginner class and he was only 16 years old. This increased the controversy even more.

Save the party first, then withdraw

At first his party called it a conspiracy and defended it. But as the evidence mounted, the party had to take action. Ultimately, he was expelled from the elections on charges of falsifying his age. After that, Buba himself wrote a letter announcing his withdrawal from the elections.

Now big questions arise

After this whole matter, the biggest question now is how did the underage boy go through the investigation process conducted by the party? Was this a system error or a deliberate game? At the moment, no answers have been obtained to these questions, but this matter has become a big issue in Nigerian politics and is still a topic of discussion on social media.

People’s reaction on social media

After this whole matter came to light, a huge controversy erupted on social media. Some people praise Bubba’s courage and say that no matter his age, his confidence is commendable. At the same time, a large number of users are asking questions that if he was really a minor, how was he allowed access to such a major political process. Many people described it as a huge negligence of the regime, while some called it a conspiracy.
