This horrific accident took place at around 3 am on Sunday, when this BMW car was traveling from Titwala towards Badlapur. The video that went viral tells an Instagram story of a young man sitting inside a car. At the beginning of the video, it appears that this group of friends is laughing and playing in the car as they leave a quiet area. Once the car reaches the highway, loud music starts playing in the background and the car driver presses his foot on the accelerator. Within a short time the car starts talking to the air and the needle crosses straight at 251 km/h. The speed was so high that the driver lost control of the car and the car collided directly with the barrier in the middle of the highway and flipped in the air several times.

The two young men who lost their lives in this incident were identified as Yogesh Dighe and Rekhaba Jacob, residents of Badlapur, and they died on the spot. Anand, the third friend in the car, was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thane. Police are now investigating how many minutes the viral video was taken 251 minutes before the incident happened and who posted it.
