America is celebrating its 250th anniversary in a grand and very historic way. The official anniversary is July 4, 2026, but before that, great programs have already begun across the country. From Texas to Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas, the skies were lit up with colorful lights, thousands of drones and stunning aerial displays. Not only that, but this special occasion resonated as far as Japan, where many famous buildings were lit up in the American tricolor. Videos of these grand scenes are becoming increasingly viral on social media and people are paying tribute to this huge celebration of America.
2,500 drones captured amazing photos in the sky
A special drone display was organized in the US state of Texas, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of independence. About 2,500 drones in North Richland Hills created huge, massive figures of the Rocket, America’s national bird, the bald eagle and first President George Washington in the night sky. The amazing fireworks filled the entire sky with colorful lights. A large number of people came to watch this scene.

The festive colors were visible from Washington, D.C., to Las Vegas
During the “Great American State Fair” in Washington, D.C., a special Army parachute team landed on the National Mall carrying a huge American flag. Apart from this, the USAF Thunderbirds have won the hearts of people through their flying. While stunning digital images related to patriotism were displayed at the famous Las Vegas Strip, the Washington Monument was also decorated with special colors and lights related to American history.

The colors of celebration of America were evident in Japan as well
This celebration of America was not limited to its country only. Many famous buildings in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, are decorated with red, white and blue lights. Attractive lighting has been implemented on Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Aqua Symphony. In addition, a fireworks and drone display was organized, in which a large number of people participated. The US Embassy also appealed to people to share photos using the hashtag #A250inJapan.
