Food work has opened in recent years the doors for many. Among them are Denny Baby and PARVATY Jayakumar, a couple based in Kerala state, they left nursing functions to sell hot Bajis, tea, coffee and fried potatoes. Just one month ago, they set up a small dining cart at the intersection of X -rays at Cherthala, Alappuzha, after they realized that the hospital salaries were very low.

Despite the holding of certificates in nursing studies and the paramedic, both were unhappy, as they obtained only 5,000 rupees per month. They tried different jobs, but they did not feel satisfied until they decided to start their dining project.

How did the food cart changed the life of the couple in this state of Kerala

Speaking to on Manorama, Parvathy said: “One month has passed since we created the vehicle. Our house is located only two kilometers.

“In Hyderabad, the salary was not enough. Once again, private hospitals were provided to us up to 5,000 rupees per month, while daily wage work could reach 1,000 rupees per day. This made us give up hospital jobs,” Denny Bibi explained.

Challenges in the first days of cooking

After quitting their nursing functions, Denny Baby and Parvathy Jayakumar now win between 2000 rupees and 3000 rupees per day of the dining cart. Parvithi says that the local community was very supportive, as it helped them operate the cart. The couple, who bought the cart for 50,000 rupees from a friend, initially found a challenge. Through the guidance, tips and recipes shared by the local population, it gradually improved and grew more confident in their new project.

Although their current list is popular among customers, Dini said: “We would like to add elements like DOSA, but that will require more help. Since it was only a month, we will wait a little. The highways development work continues as well, so we are not sure whether we have to have to change the sites. Heavy rains have been slowed only. Now that the effects have ended, more customers come.”

A love story that started in the nursing school

Religious Bibi and Barnfathi Jayakumar met for the first time while continuing their diploma at St. Kazavier School in Korubamahra, Kotaiam. Soon after their studies were completed, they decided to marry. My religion started his career in a private hospital in Hyderabad, while Parvithi completed her training in Malaburam before moving to Telangana to join him. Although their families were not at first supportive of marriage, they have gradually became acceptable to accept the relationship.
