PETA India seeks to hold Patna Zoo officials accountable
After this video went viral, PETA India also intervened in this matter. The organization urged the zoo authorities and the government to move the tiger to a safe haven if necessary. PETA also warned that animals that live in restrictive or confined environments for long periods of time can develop a stress-related mental condition called zoonoses, affecting their behavior and health.

Zoo officials responded
Zoo officials said in response that the white tiger was completely healthy. He says that the tiger is given a proper and balanced diet and that the veterinarian takes care of him regularly. He also said that the slow walking of the tiger in the video could be part of its normal activity and should not be considered a health issue. However, despite these clarifications from officials, public skepticism on social media has not diminished. Many are calling for independent medical examinations and more transparency so that everyone can be reassured that the tiger’s health is indeed normal.
