Marriage is said to be a bond of seven births, where people swear to live together and promise to support each other throughout their lives. But as times change, the picture of relationships seems to change as well. Sometimes there is love, sometimes there is disagreement, and sometimes things escalate to the point that it becomes difficult to live together. The incident that came to light from Basti in Uttar Pradesh surprised people about these relationships and also gave a reason to laugh. Here the husband vowed to get rid of his wife to the point that his story has now become a topic of discussion in the entire region. Now this is becoming increasingly common on social media.
Not seven births, but a desire for salvation
The matter concerns a village in the Soha police station area of Basti district. Here, a young man’s married life has become embroiled in controversy after two years of marriage. Tired of constant quarrels and mental stress, the young man swore at the Ma Baidoa Samai Mata temple that if he got rid of his wife, he would perform a pilgrimage to pay obeisance.
I obtained a “method for relief” from the court
The young man sought help from the court to separate from his wife. The case continued for about two years, and she finally got a divorce. After this decision, the young man and his family seemed very happy, because the tension that had been going on for a long time was now over.
9 km Dandavat Yatra
After fulfilling the vow, the young man kept his promise. Without eating or drinking anything, he began a prostration journey of about 9 km from his village to the Mata temple in Bhanpur. This journey was not easy, but the young man completed it with full faith.
“Mannat Yatra” went out like a procession
Surprisingly, the young man was not alone on this journey. His parents and many villagers were following him with musical instruments and cheering for his mother. While people usually express their sadness when relationships break down, the atmosphere here was quite the opposite.
I reached the bleeding temple
At around 6pm, the young man arrived at the temple exhausted and bruised. His knees were covered in blood, but relief was evident on his face. After seeing the mother, he offered Prasad and expressed his gratitude for fulfilling his wish.
“Now I have found true peace”
The young man said in the conversation that he was very upset about his married life, and now after getting a divorce, he feels lighter and calmer. According to him, this journey is not only a wish fulfillment but also a sign of a new beginning. It is now being shared on social media about netizens giving different kinds of reactions.
