The unique feat of an enthusiastic Delhi-based runner on the auspicious occasion of Diwali is winning hearts online. Digital artist Vivek Chaudhary sent well wishes to his followers ahead of the Festival of Light on Sunday, October 19, sharing a screenshot from Strava highlighting how he ran over 6km and completed a diya-shaped route on the map.
“I ran today and drew a diya on Strava,” Choudhary wrote as a caption to the eye-catching screenshot in which he edited a photo of himself holding a victory sign alongside a path perfectly outlined as a traditional Indian oil lamp.
The unique path of emotional hostility
The man covered a specific distance of “6.37 kilometers” near his area in Delhi. Chaudhary completed creating a unique Diya on the map in 41 minutes and 1 second. The man seemed happy with his extraordinary achievement, and posted a photo of himself on the map holding a victory sign and a wide smile on his face.
On the map, the Zia-shaped route that Chaudhry ran had a mix of green, blue and red, which he explained to the user indicated the speed at which he went at different points of the route. When a user asked him: “What do the colors represent?”, Chaudhry replied: “Speed.”
As Chaudhary’s post went viral on social media, netizens asked him a variety of questions and applauded him. Some also felt motivated to abandon their lazy lifestyle and start running.
“This is a huge motivation for me to run again,” one person commented.
One person mentioned, “Lovely. Diya on Strava – creative Diwali touch.”
One of them said: He looks like a bat.
“Next is the Christmas tree?” One user quipped, asking if Choudhary would create something similar on Strava for Christmas?
When another person raised his curiosity about how Chaudhry discovered the Zia-shaped path on the map, he explained that it was one of his professional colleagues who had told him about it. “A colleague (and epic runner herself) told me about the route :),” he said.
