The doodle, titled “Learn Quadratic Equation,” was first introduced in September in the US and UK. It has now reached India and many other regions.
When mathematics met Google
Animated Doodle transforms the Google logo into smooth parabolic curves that visually represent how quadratic equations behave. The second “g” and “e” in the Google logo kick the second “o,” shaped like a basketball, back and forth. Around the logo, there are handwritten notes and equations such as y = ax² + bx + c, y = 0 => ax² + bx + c = 0, x = (-b ± √(b² – 4ac)) / 2a and b² = 4ac > 0.
What is a quadratic equation?
A quadratic equation is a quadratic polynomial in one variable and has the standard form ax² + bx + c = 0, where a, b, and c are constants and a is not equal to zero. It is used to find the values of x, called roots or solutions, that satisfy the equation.
