Indian Railways’ quick response to help a sick infant on board a moving train has won praise online. Bhavna, a dentist and mother, shared her experience on X, describing how railway staff quickly arranged medical help for her baby girl.
She said in a video clip that her child started vomiting after eating drum soup. Concerned, the parents approached TTE and asked if any medication or assistance could be arranged.
“I fed my baby drumstick soup…and after that, she started vomiting a lot. I panicked and asked the TTE how I could order medicines on the train…and I didn’t expect much,” the video transcript reads.
Not only did the railway staff arrange the medicine, but as soon as the train reached Hindpur station, a doctor was there to examine the child, who was provided with appropriate medicines after his examination.
The text of the video added: “They also provided us with a proper bill. I was truly shocked and very grateful at the speed with which they acted.”
“From panic to relief on a moving train. My baby needed help…and it came faster than I could have imagined,” she wrote in the caption.
