A man was caught on camera urinating outside an Indian restaurant in the US. The incident occurred at Mumtaz Indian Restaurant located in Plano, Texas on March 21. The man in the video was reportedly an employee at the same restaurant, and said he was urinating because he “couldn’t stand it.”

According to a report by The American Bazaar, the clip was recorded by Ryan Dawson, who runs a tattoo studio located directly above the restaurant.

In the video, which went viral, Dawson was seen questioning the man about his actions outside the restaurant. He faces him directly and asks: “You sit here, you work here, and you pee here?” The man replies: “I could not stop and hold on.”

When Dawson presses further about why he didn’t use the restroom, the man explains that it was locked at the time. But what happens next raises more questions. Within seconds, the man returns to the restaurant and opens the door without any problem. This prompts Dawson to respond, “Now it’s suddenly open.”

Dawson later shared the clip on Instagram with the caption: “Mumtaz Indian Restaurant in Plano, Texas‼️ Caught in 4K. Peeing in front of his work and mine. Holding people accountable day to day. Since the White House can’t.. write s***.”

What people say online

The video sparked strong reactions from users online, with one user commenting: “Great job exposing this disgusting behaviour.”

Another said: “This is absolutely disgusting! Good to call it out.”

“I’m glad you called him in! Gross. He could have gone to the back alley if it was an emergency. This guy loves doing that,” another person commented.

Meanwhile, some users have come forward in defense of the man. “He could have had a medical emergency. You should delete this,” one person wrote.

“Some people have kidney problems. I had to stop on the highway 3 times yesterday,” read another comment.

Was any police action taken?

Explaining why he decided to denounce this behaviour, Dawson said the incident had deeply disturbed him. “I worked extremely hard to get where I am now. I spent seven years in state prison and it changed my life. It made me very upset for a number of reasons. This is unacceptable behavior, and I will not tolerate it in or around my work,” he told The American Bazaar.

He also reported the incident to the local police and shared the video with an officer. But he was told there were limited actions that could be taken in the situation and the man was issued with a verbal warning.
