A MAN was left stunned after discovering that a Rapido rider he hastily booked turned out to be the former valedictorian of his class, an unexpected encounter that has since gone viral on social media.

The story was shared on X by the account Servant of Mother India. According to the post, the man, named Omar, quickly booked a Rapido flight while he was running late. When the booking details emerged, the passenger’s name caught his attention: Chandan.

At first, ignore it. But after a moment, he wondered if it might be the same Chandan who had once been topper of his class at school.

When the knight arrived, Omar greeted him jokingly, saying: “Hello, Rapido Bhaiya!” Chandan smiled and replied, “First tell me the OTP code.”

When the journey began, Omar asked when he started working as a Rapido rider. Chandan responded frankly saying that life doesn’t always go according to plan but he was fine. He even joked that he wouldn’t charge his old colleague.

Omar was still surprised, so he reminded him that he had once been the top of the class. Chandan laughed and reflected on how unpredictable life can be, saying that he never imagined that he would be a passenger when his former colleague was his customer.

The post ended with a message highlighting that grades or academic success do not always determine a person’s future and that every job deserves respect if done honestly.

The story quickly gained attention online, sparking a wave of reactions. While some users said the story was bittersweet, others noted that it served as a reminder that success is rarely linear and that dignity lies in honest work.

Many also shared their own experiences with colleagues who excelled academically but later took unexpected career paths due to financial pressures, family responsibilities, or changing opportunities.
