What are the most important cities in India?
If we talk about the top 100 cities in this list, then all the four metro cities in India have come in this list. In India, Bengaluru scored the highest, which is the country’s technological powerhouse and is called the “Silicon Valley of India.” It is ranked 29th globally. Next comes Mumbai, the financial capital, in 40th place. The national capital Delhi is at 54th position and Hyderabad is at 82nd position. These rankings show that metro cities in India are growing in technology, finance and culture, but are still far from the top 100 cities globally.

How was the classification determined?
The report evaluated more than 270 cities around the world with a population of more than one million people. Its purpose was to understand which cities were the best in terms of overall experience. The study looked at various aspects of city life, such as education, culture, communication, nightlife, safety and many other indicators.

After analyzing all the factors, each city was given a Power of Place score, which is based on three broad pillars – livability, likability and prosperity.
