This method is the most effective for root vegetables such as carrots, radish, beets, potatoes and onions. Sand absorbs moisture and balances the inner temperature. This does not dry vegetables for a long time and avoids deterioration.
Leafy vegetables such as spinach, fenugreek, coriander, mint and green fridge do not last long. It can remain fresh in water.
How to do:
1. Remove the bad leaves of vegetables.
2. Fill cold water in a large bowl or jug.
3. Dip the leg in the water, like flowers in the vase.
4. If you want, cover the plastic from above.
5. Continue to change the water every 1-2 days.
6. Protect the bowl from the sun and keep it in a cool place.
Vegetables like cucumber, pumpkin, zucchini, new pepper are new for several days with the help of newspapers and clothes.
How to do:
1. Wrap the vegetables in separate newspapers or cotton clothes without washing.
2. Now keep these vegetables wrapped with a wet cotton cloth (such as the old towel).
3. Place this entire package in the basket and keep it in a cool and dark place.
4. Check the moisture of the clothes every 2-3 days and wet again if necessary.
If you have a deep plastic box or bucket, you can use it. This method is the best for vegetables like potatoes, carrots and onions.
How to do:
1. Place the wet sand or wooden powder under the cabin.
2. Keep vegetables without washing, then put a moist layer on top.
3. Close the cabin cover loose or penetrate it until some air continues to come and go.
4. Keep it in a cool and dark place.
5. Check the moisture every 3-4 days and add light moisture when needed.
