People often risk their lives and the safety of others just to perform dangerous stunts on the road. Some hang from moving buses, others dance on the roofs of cars, and others follow online trends that could easily end in disaster.

But a recent video from Greater Noida is attracting attention for a different reason. The film shows a man performing risky car stunts, but things turn around in the end. The stunt, which was carried out using a Maruti Suzuki Baleno, did not go unnoticed by the authorities.

A man drifts his Baleno on a busy road

The clip begins with a black Baleno car speeding down a main road in Greater Noida while another car follows it. When a vehicle approaches a four-way crossing, it suddenly swerves and drifts at high speed.

The video then cuts to another scene where the same car performs a similar movement before coming to a sharp stop on the side. It all looks like a typical stunt video, until the last few seconds reveal a surprising twist.

The screen flashes an image of a traffic violation issued by the Noida Traffic Police, showing a fine of Rs 57,500 for rash driving.

Police work turns video into lesson

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “A man performed stunts with his car on the streets of Greater Noida. Noida Traffic Police took action and imposed a fine of Rs 57,500. Good job, @Noidatraffic.”

As the video gained more attention, Noida Traffic Police also shared the challenge on its official handle. “In view of the said complaint, action has been taken to issue a fine of Rs 57,500 as per rules against the concerned vehicle for violating traffic rules,” the post said.

Social media users share mixed reactions

Posted on October 10, it has already been viewed more than 55,000 times and sparked a mix of reactions online.

“He should have seized his car too,” one person commented.

Another added: “His driver’s license should be suspended for six months.”

Others made lighthearted jokes, with one user writing: “Thank God this isn’t Thar!” Another saying: Good luck paying the fine.

Some even seemed skeptical, adding: “He will remain unpaid for two years and then be waived,” and “In Lok Adalat, he will pay Rs 1,000 to the lawyer and the rest will be written off.”
