If nostalgia had a face, it would certainly look like Comic Con Delhi 2025, all thanks to one legendary character who doesn’t need CGI, superpowers or multiple universes to remain iconic. Yes, we are talking about Chacha Chaudhary, the superhero whose familiar red turban and twirling mustache were enough to take thousands back to their childhoods. The desi superhero made a big comeback at Comic Con and the internet is buzzing.
The event featured a pavilion that was filled with colorful displays of popular Pran characters like Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu, Billu, Pinky and Raman, all elegantly arranged. There were also hand-drawn panels, classic caricatures, and unmistakable cha-cha swagger. The children were walking by curiously, the adults were looking excited, and they were amazed because how many times can you revisit the world you grew up in reading.

Chacha Chaudhary is one of India’s most popular sitcoms, created by legendary cartoonist Pran Kumar Sharma in 1971. It is popular among viewers for its relatable humour, simple storytelling and charm of its fans. The series revolves around the adventures of Chacha Chaudhary, an elderly man whose brain works faster than a computer.
Chacha is joined by Sabo, a giant alien from Jupiter whose power is balanced by Chacha’s sharp mind. Together they deal with thieves, goons, bullies, corrupt officials, and everyday societal issues. That’s not all, eh even teaches lessons about morals and common behavior. The comics also feature recurring characters like Bini, Chachi, Rocket, Gobar Singh and many more.
