On the same day, during a meeting with nearly two dozen top oil and gas executives, Trump rose from his chair midway through his speech and walked to the window to look at the construction site of the new ballroom. “If we had a dance floor, we would have over a thousand people,” he said before pausing to take a look. “Well, I’ll have to look at this for myself… Wow. What a sight. This is the door to the ballroom,” he said, eliciting light laughter from those in attendance and inviting the media to monitor the progress as well.
Trump described it as an “unusual time to look” at construction but noted that the project was progressing ahead of schedule. The White House Auditorium project was announced in October 2025 as part of efforts to modernize the building to better accommodate large gatherings. Officials said the construction was privately funded and did not involve taxpayer money.
🚨Trump suddenly interrupted a meeting with oil company executives by saying: “Wait, I want to take a look at my beautiful ballroom” – then he got up and walked to the door.

According to the White House, the hall will be completed before the end of Trump’s term in 2029. Trump said the new facility will accommodate significantly more guests than current rooms and will include enhanced security features such as bulletproof glass and drone-resistant ceilings, allowing it to host major events including presidential inaugurations.
