The beautiful Kasauli hill station in the valleys of Himachal Pradesh is home to a unique hand-washing jug, or as the owner of Narendra Sweets likes to call it, the “Magic Tank”, which allows around 3,000 visitors to wash their hands without stopping. This popular food hub on Kasauli Street attracts tourists not only for its mouth-watering dishes, but also for this little jug that the owner claims never runs out of water.
The tank and food preparation are very popular among vloggers who roam Kasauli. They were both in the spotlight again in a video shared on Instagram, with the restaurant owner claiming that the rumors about his mysterious little hand-washing jug are all true.
Magic Tank in Kasauli Hills
In the outer corner of this small restaurant called “Narendra Sweets” there is a small old jug, where visitors wash their hands before leaving. This Mayor’s Jug is its own attraction in the restaurant. In a recent vlog featuring this restaurant and its tank, the owner pointed out his “magic tank” and emphasized that even though it looks small, the jug never runs out of water.
As the video titled “The Magic Tank in Kasauli” continues, the restaurant owner said that about 3,000 people daily wash their hands from the jug, which had no water in it at the time the video was recorded. However, moments later, when the restaurant owner rubbed his fingers across the mayor’s pitcher, water came out to allow the vlogger to wash his hands.
“It’s hilarious editing.”
As the video of the magic tank or the mayor’s mysterious jug gained traction online, people noticed the near-seamless editing that came to the clip as soon as the restaurant owner opened it. People realized that the real magic lies in the editing skills the vlogger has to back up the restaurant owner’s claim.
“Funny edit,” one person commented, realizing that the restaurant owner had refilled the mayor’s jug backstage before letting the water flow.
“The magic is that the owner refills the tank right before the water runs out,” another person laughed.
“I wish he had a similar gas cylinder,” one person quipped amid India’s LPG supply outage.
The vlogger even asked if the restaurant owner having such a continuous fuel supply was also possible at the end of the video. Also previously, the supposed magic tank of a street food center in Kasauli went viral, when the owner’s revelation that he refills the jug before it’s empty, was the point of hysteria and memes across the internet.
