The most quieter world room: The common legend indicates that no one can stay in this room for more than 45 minutes. However, this is a mistake because the longest registered stay is one hour
Microsoft has built the Angeic room primarily to test the sound of its products. (As a compliment: microsoft)
Does the noise and hustle of life reach you? Do you feel that you are just isolating yourself in your room to get some quiet time? Well, if your room or even your bathroom fails to take a trick, you can always travel to Washington that has a quieter room in the world where you can even hear the blood flowing in your body or mysterious eyelid!
This room is an Anechoic room (or free of echo) located on the Redmond campus in Washington, which acts as the Microsoft headquarters. This campus, which was built about 40 years ago, includes 87 buildings and also includes the ANCOC room.
The most calm world room
The Anechoic room is a super room for women in 2015. According to Guinness World Records, this room maintains a rear sound level of -20.35 dB, which mainly means complete silence. To put this in its correct perspective, the natural human hearing threshold is 0 dB, while quiet breathing records are at 10 dB.
In this deep silence, visitors can hear most of the internal sounds: heartbeat, blood flowing through their bodies, stomach abuse, and even flashing sound. The room is so calm that people can already hear blood flow through their head.
While the Redmond campus of Microsoft includes three Anechoic rooms, the largest of which holds the world record in Guinness. The room effectively prohibits all external sounds while preventing any internal sounds from creating echoes – thus the name “Anechoic”, meaning “without echo.” This absence of echo makes even simple sounds like applause looks abnormal and disturbing.
Human experience
Entering the Anechoic room creates a unique sensory experience and is often overwhelming. Since external sounds are eliminated, visitors become completely aware of the internal sounds of their body: heartbeat, blood circulation, digestive processes, joint movement, and even tinnitus (ear ringing).
Most people find the complete absence of proper confusion, and suffer from feelings of weight or resonance in their ears. Even the most fainted sounds become clearly audible due to the exceptional lower level of surrounding noise. Simple movements such as a person’s header or breathing in loudly become significantly.
Reactions differ greatly to visitors. Some find contemplative and relaxing experience, while others feel uncomfortable and want to leave within seconds. The full darkness of the room increases the confusion, which affects the balance of visitors because the ears usually help determine the spatial direction through sound signals. Some dizziness or anxiety, and prolonged exposure may cause auditory hallucinations, such as fake hearing sounds.
The legend exposed for 45 minutes
The common legend indicates that no one can stay in the room for more than 45 minutes. However, this is a mistake. Microsoft engineers who work regularly in the room can stay for extended periods, with the longest registered stay for one hour. When going out, the normal sounds of the outside world can look out loud in an explosive way in comparison.
Access and design
Microsoft Anechoic room is not open to the audience. Access to corporate engineers, researchers and members of the hardware team is limited. Visitors should arrange access through Microsoft employees who have permission to use the facility.
The room is designed as a 21 -foot cube with two fiber -length fibers that cover the walls, floor and ceiling. The floor consists of a network of sound cables, and the entire structure settles on 68 pipes with its separate foundation. The construction process requires only eight months to determine a suitable calm construction location. Each element – air conditioning systems, and spray systems – are particularly designed to prevent sound leakage.
The purpose and applications
Microsoft has built the Angeic room primarily to test the sound of its products. Engineers needed an environment in which they can accurately measure the microscopic sounds of the device, such as Hump faint from the circuit board capacitors or keyboard that click on the sounds.
The room is used to test audio features through the Microsoft Products collection, including surface computers, Xbox, Hololens and voices such as Cortana and other devices. The specified tests include measuring the dynamic domain of the microphone, frequency response, total consensual distortion, and the effectiveness of the audio seal.
Building and achievement
The construction of the room was completed in 2015, after two years of design and planning work. Microsoft has built this facility because its engineers lack the possibility of access to calm testing environments. Previously, the quieter room belonging to the Orfield laboratories in Minneapolis, measuring -9.4 dB. The Microsoft Microsoft Achieving of -20.6 DB broke this record significantly.
The company’s goal was to enhance sound experiences by testing products in an environment of absolute calm. Anechoic design prevents the reversal of the audio wave from the surfaces, ensuring very accurate measurements of the levels of Microsoft products.
Industry
The Microsoft Anechoic room represents a major technical achievement and works as an example of the company’s commitment to innovation. Similar rooms are used by other technology companies for audio tests, but the Microsoft facility remains one of the quiet places on the ground, indicating that companies will go to master their products.
