Tension erupted at Delhi’s Nizamuddin railway station on October 16 when a fight broke out between employees of the Gwalior-bound Vande Bharat Express 22470. The clash occurred before the train left, astonishing the passengers. Many have expressed concern over the incident, saying such behavior damages the reputation of Indian Railways and the outstanding service of Vande Bharat trains.

Videos of the fight circulated widely on social media, showing employees hitting each other with trash cans, belts and fists. Observers and social media users criticized the attack and demanded strict action, noting that employees who display such behavior “do not deserve to represent the Indian Railways.”

Chaos on the platform

The clip shows approximately six to eight employees engaging in a chaotic battle. Some swing belts, others throw trash cans at each other. A few employees fall, are overpowered, and then return to the fight. The passengers watch from a distance as the altercation continues.

The Railway Protection Force eventually arrived to intervene, but the brawl continued even after they were there. The video lasts 1 minute and 19 seconds and ends with no clear resolution.

Here’s how social media reacted

The video, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), has received more than 94,000 views. User comments ranged from sarcastic to critical.

“I think this is the new ‘sleeper class,’” one person wrote.

Another joked: “0:30 referee whistle mar ra hai.”

Some questioned the absence of railway police, while others commented on the shocking behavior of the staff, saying: “This is the way Indians behave because they never face serious consequences for their actions.”

Railway work is underway

The railway administration has reportedly started investigating the incident and sought clarifications from the employees concerned.

So far, neither IRCTC nor Indian Railways has issued an official statement regarding the viral video.

A similar incident happened before

Earlier in May 2025, a similar video from Vande Bharat Express went viral, showing a heated fight between two employees. The clash between catering and cleaning staff took place during a scheduled flight, with passengers watching the chaos unfold in real time.

Many travelers recorded the incident and shared it on social media, sparking widespread anger and concern.
