An Indian man of Indian origin was arrested on Sunday 27 July, in the United Kingdom after causing chaos on a travel flight from Luton Airport to Glasgow. The man, known as Abhai Davdas Nayak, 41, is a resident of Loton in Bedfordshire, near London. It was brought before the Sharif Bizley Court on Monday Guardian.

The accident occurred during the Easyjet trip when Nayak started screaming loudly religious and political slogans in the air, creating panic among passengers. Videos circulating on social media shown “Alhu Akbar”, “Death to America” and “Death To Trump”. The timing of the accident coincided with former US President Donald Trump’s summer visit to Scotland, which caused more anxiety among the authorities.

“A report on a man who caused disturbance was called on a trip that arrived in Glasgow at approximately 8:20 am on Sunday, July 27,” Scotland police said in an official statement. Nayak was arrested when landing and was charged with assault and exposed passenger safety under the UK air mobility order.

Easyjet confirmed in a statement that the passenger was removed after his behavior. “We can confirm that a passenger has been removed by the police because of the sabotage behavior, and we are helping the authorities in their inquiries,” said a spokesman.

Eyewitnesses stated that Nayak should be restricted by passenger colleagues, who were able to force him to the ground while the crew starting emergency procedures. The plane landed safely at Glasgow Airport, where the police were ready to wrap it. The authorities have also searched the plane and the surrounding airport areas as a preventive measure, but confirmed that no explosives or weapons were found on board.

During his appearance before the court, Nayak did not enter any call. He was placed in judicial confinement, and he is expected to return again in the court next week. Despite its use of religious chants, the police stated that he is not currently facing concerned with the anti -terrorism legislation. Investigators focus on his sabotage behavior and a possible threat posed by passenger safety under aviation laws.

The case is still under the active investigation.
