Latest update:
What started as a humble gamble in the soil of Panna turned into something extraordinary when two friends discovered a 15.34-carat diamond, a discovery powerful enough to rewrite their futures.
An officer at the Panna Diamond Office confirmed that the value of the stone was estimated at more than Rs 50,000.
In the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, luck knocked on the door of two young friends and changed their lives overnight. Satish Khatik, 24, and Sajid Mohammed, 23, were burdened with family responsibilities. Their family was struggling financially, and the two were particularly concerned about arranging their sisters’ weddings.
Satish ran a modest meat shop, while Sajid earned his living selling fruits.
Hoping for a simple stroke of luck, they decided to rent a small mine in the Krishna Kalyanpur area of Panna. Their expectations were low. At best, they dreamed of finding a small diamond that could alleviate the financial pressures on their families. But fate had a much bigger surprise in store for him.
The moment that changed everything
Barely 20 days into their lease, the couple was digging when something sparkled in the soil. At first, they considered it an ordinary stone until the sunlight shone on it.
What sparked in their mind was a gorgeous 15.34 carat diamond, the kind people search for their whole lives but never discover.
Trying to believe their luck, the two friends calmed down their excitement and took the jewel to the Bana Diamond Office. There, diamond officer Ravi Patel confirmed that the value of the stone was estimated at more than Rs 50 lakh. Hearing this, Satish and Sajid were overwhelmed with joy and nerves, and decades of worry seemed to vanish in an instant.
Equal share to achieve their dreams
The officer confirmed that the diamond will be sold at the next auction. The best part is that Satish and Sajid have already agreed to split the profits equally. The first thing they would do, they said, beaming with relief, was to arrange good weddings for their sisters. With the remaining money, they planned to expand their small business.
People in Panna often say that luck lies hidden in the soil; One only needs eyes to recognize it and faith to believe in it. The story of Satish and Sajid proves this statement once again. In just 20 days, life gave them a blessing they never dared to imagine.
