One passenger shared a post detailing the annoying overnight train journey, prompting them to say: ‘The kids were more polite than she was.’ The post received attention online with many users regarding the frustration of dealing with inconsiderate passengers while traveling long distances.

The title of the Reddit post reads: “The kind of passengers I encounter when I finally take a peaceful flight.” The passenger said they finally boarded a relatively quiet train coach as most passengers were quiet and trying to rest during the night, but it wasn’t long until a woman, who was traveling with her husband and child, ended up disturbing the peaceful journey.

“The lady kept complaining.”

The passenger said: “This stupid lady who has no civil sense has been a nuisance throughout the whole problem. Imagine that you finally find a train where there are no children screaming and screaming and creating trouble. Everyone is calm and peaceful during the night journey, and you will get the worst of the passenger in your coach only.” “This lady at first kept complaining about little things to her husband.”

The passenger said that her husband and child were occupying the upper berth, while she was sleeping on the upper side. They claimed she later asked her husband to switch beats despite having no apparent reason to do so. After the exchange, the woman began watching videos on her phone out loud while others were trying to sleep.

“Later, she finally slept for 3-4 hours and then woke up at 4:30 and complained to her husband,” they said, adding that she complained about the travel arrangements and air conditioning inside the bus. Then I turned on the lights while people were still asleep. The passenger added: “Even her husband asked her to turn off the lights, and even we asked her politely. She muttered and did not turn them off.”

“Matlab aise guaro ko mil jati hai, itni diktat h to buy a private jet lo aur usse aao. Lekin paisa nahi toh tohtitude bhi uska se kahao (I mean these stupid people get seats, if you have so many problems, buy a private jet and use it).

And if you don’t have that much money, show your behavior accordingly),” the passenger shared. “When you can’t change something, you whine about it. Mind you, the kids were more polite than her.”

People share similar experiences on the train

The post sparked an online discussion about etiquette while traveling on public transport. Many users shared similar experiences, with one saying: “I’m also flying today, man, there’s this family in my cabin that woke up at 4 o’clock.

Since then, the chatter and dining have continued non-stop, along with loudspeaker music and bhajans. Everyone is asleep, woke up by this nonsense. When asked to tone down the volume, they literally said: “How long will you sleep?” It’s time to wake up. “The whole world is awake.”

“I’m traveling right now, one of his uncles is probably over 65 and he’s listing songs and reels at full volume. He waited for an hour and told him to turn down the volume. His ego was hurt but I asked him in front of TC so he turned down the volume after 5 minutes. I don’t know how this kind of person feels it’s okay to bother other people. I’ve seen this kind of behavior mostly from people in Gujarat. Uncle is from there too,” another person shared.

“The entitlement these people have is crazy. Like turning the reel on full volume and not turning off the light even when they are told they lack basic empathy and reveal extremely narcissistic traits. I hope there is a system to complain against these people and ban them from traveling for at least 6 months,” another person commented.

“You can’t travel with Indians anywhere. It’s the same story on buses and flights,” another person commented.
