A shocking video clip from Kolkata went viral on social media platforms, after it showed a man irrationally throwing stones at passing vehicles, sparking sharp reactions from viewers.
The clip, which was reshared by @Mario Nawfal on X, documents a chaotic series of events that quickly spiraled out of control, eventually prompting police intervention and sparking a wider debate online.
According to the post, the man was seen targeting several cars, throwing stones at them as they passed. Eyewitness footage indicates that this behavior continued for some time, as many drivers appeared visibly terrified before some tried to confront him. The situation took a turn when the man allegedly threw a rock at a police car.

After that, the person tried to flee the scene but was quickly pursued and arrested by a police officer. The video shows him being tied up in a way that some viewers described as “cartoon-like,” before being beaten with a stick.
At some point, the officer tried to put him inside the police car, but the man managed to open the side door and briefly tried to escape again. He was subsequently arrested, beaten again and eventually detained.
The viral post was captioned: “A Kolkata man decided it was a good idea to throw stones at passing cars, until some drivers had enough of it. Then he managed to escape, and was caught again and tied up like a cartoon character.” Meanwhile, text overlaid on the video says: “Everyday scenes from my balcony in Kolkata, India.”
As the video spread across platforms, it sparked a torrent of reactions from users, many of whom expressed their anger and disbelief at the incident.
One user said: “This guy looks like a police officer. Lock him away for 5 years. This could hit someone in the head and we have a serious problem.”

Another said: “Society makes excuses for them by calling them rational patience. But when society had enough, it fled, which means it is rational.”
“Darwin award road rage rock thrower meets karma. Bound, no escape. Classic #FAFO. 😂” a third user said.
“Why the hell would someone do that! Didn’t he grow up and learn good manners, plus he’s a mature man who knows how to tell good from bad!”
A fourth said: “Absolutely disgusting.”
