When a dying star explodes in a powerful cosmic event, it can briefly become so bright that it can be seen even in daylight from Earth under the right conditions.

The death of some stars is not as peaceful as you think. Some of them explode, creating one of the most dramatic and explosive actions in the universe, called supernovas.
Sometimes, this explosion can be so intense that the event can be seen from Earth during the day.
This phenomenon occurs when a massive star exhausts all its fuel sources. Unable to sustain itself due to lack of energy, the star’s core will collapse within mere seconds, causing an explosion powerful enough to scatter the star’s surface material out into space.
One of the most famous examples recorded by humans was the supernova of 1054 AD, which created what we now call the Crab Nebula. Historical records from China and other civilizations describe a “guest star” so bright that it was visible in daylight for several weeks.
Modern astronomy confirms that this was not an illusion. The explosion was so powerful that it briefly overtook Venus, and can be seen during the day for about 23 days.
These events are extremely rare in our galaxy. On average, supernovae in the Milky Way may occur only a few times each century, and most are hidden by dust or occur too far away to be seen clearly.
But when they are observed, they provide researchers with a direct look at the life cycle of a star. Supernovas play an essential role in space because they produce heavy metals such as iron, gold and uranium, which will eventually form into planets and oceans and end up in the human body.
Nowadays, astronomers are watching the evolution of massive stars like the one known as Betelgeuse, which may one day undergo a supernova explosion, which will cause the star to glow so bright that it will be visible during the day from Earth, although it will have no effect on Earth.
Supernovas can be considered a phenomenon that indicates death and rebirth, as the destruction of a particular star leads to the creation of many others.
There may be another ancient star somewhere in the galaxy at a point where the final explosion is about to occur.
