A video of Raipur-based aspirant Charu Pandey has gone viral after it was revealed that she has cleared 19 central government recruitment exams. Her long journey through multiple competitive exams has led to heated debate online.
While many people praise her hard work and consistency, others wonder what this accomplishment really means in terms of success and contribution. The discussion has now moved beyond her personal story and turned into a larger conversation about India’s examination system and work culture.
Years of repeated attempts at government exams
Charu Pandey started preparing for government jobs when she was 23 years old. Her goal at the time was simple: to get at least one stable government job. Over the years, I have appeared in many exams including SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS exams, Railway Recruitment Board exams, SBI and IBPS exams.
Through constant preparation and repeated attempts, I was eventually able to pass 19 central government exams. Her journey was driven by perseverance, as she continued to apply through various recruitment cycles until she achieved success several times over.

Speaking to ANI, she said, “My family is very happy about my achievement. I have received an award for clearing 19 central government exams. Honestly, I never thought that I would attempt so many exams, and my only goal was to get at least one government job.”
She also shared that although her family had different career expectations for her due to her background in mathematics, she chose to focus entirely on competitive exams instead.

One user commented: “Passing 19 state exams shows dedication, but it’s not the kind of achievement a nation should glorify as a symbol of progress.”
Another wrote: “What an extraordinary contribution has been made to deserve this award. Recognition should be based on genuine achievement and service, not just exam results.”
Many users also raised concerns about the effort and results. The comment read: “Her foolishness aims to pass all government exams. She does not seem to have a passion for a specific sector.”
Another said: “Waste of seats. Why the clearing and non-enrollment? There are no reserve lists for most exams.”
Meanwhile, many defended her efforts, saying that passing a single government exam is difficult due to huge competition and limited vacancies. They noted that her fortitude reflects strong discipline and determination.
