How to make mushroom aloo chap step by step
Prepare the hot filling first
First, heat some oil in a frying pan. Add chopped onions, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and fry until light golden. Now add the chopped mushrooms to it and cook until the water dries completely. Next, add turmeric, red pepper, garam masala and salt and mix well. Finally, add the green coriander and leave the mixture to cool.
Prepare the potato mixture
Mash the boiled potatoes well. Add some salt to taste, and if the potatoes seem too wet, you can add some bread crumbs, so the mixture can be shaped easily.
Giving the correct shape to the bow
Now make small balls of potatoes. We spread each ball on the palm of the hand, put the mushroom filling in the middle, closing it on all sides and giving it the shape of tikki or chap. Be careful not to let the filling come out.
Create a crispy layer
Prepare a thinning solution by adding some water to the cornmeal. First dip the prepared part in this solution and then roll it well in breadcrumbs. This will make the bread very crispy after frying.
Fry until golden
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai. When the oil is hot, add the pistachios and fry them over medium heat until they become golden in color and crispy on both sides. If desired, they can also be prepared in the air fryer or by shallow frying in less oil.
Follow these easy tips to enhance the taste
If you want a little different taste, you can also add grated cheese or a little cheese to the filling. This will make the chap more delicious. People who like spice can also add black pepper or chili flakes. Using fresh mushrooms gives better taste and aroma.
