People living in a residential society in Noida were upset after facing water shortage for two consecutive days. A resident shared his experience online and wondered why basic amenities were missing despite residents paying maintenance fees regularly.
The issue sparked debate online, with many people saying they have faced similar issues in housing societies that promise a comfortable lifestyle but fail to provide basic services.
A man shows a water tanker outside the community
The video shows a man recording a parked water tank inside the association’s headquarters and explaining the situation the residents were dealing with.
He says in the video: “Water scarcity in our community. Extreme maintenance. A water tanker was called. There was no water yesterday, and no water today.”
The clip indicates that residents were forced to rely on water tanks after regular supplies were interrupted. The man also wondered what kind of facilities are provided in the community even though people pay high fees to live there.
The video’s caption read: “Builder ne sapne beche… reality mein paani tak nahi!” The line reflects the frustration of residents who expected better living conditions after purchasing homes in the community.
Residents talk about everyday problems
The video generated several reactions online, with users discussing the issues often faced by gated communities in Noida and neighboring areas.
Many people have complained that construction companies are promoting luxury living, but residents are still suffering from problems such as water shortages, power outages and ongoing construction work.
“This is the reality of many so-called premium associations. Maintenance fees are high, but basic amenities are missing,” one user wrote.
Another commented: “Construction workers promise luxury living, but residents have to struggle even to get water.”
“Noida societies look beautiful from the outside, but inside the daily problems never end,” said one person.
Another user added: “Paying for maintenance and then preparing water tankers is really unfair to the residents.”
Some users also called for tougher action against construction companies and community management. “The authorities must take strict action against construction companies that fail to provide basic amenities,” the commentary read.
Another wrote: “Water is not a luxury. It is a basic need, and residents should not have to fight for it.”
